Carly Frei (she/her) from Fiction Reshaped reuses old books and turns them into works of art from her studio in St. Paul, MN. She creates folded book art, flower bouquets, magnets, greeting cards, and literary prints using recycled book pages. Carly has always been environmentally conscious about her impacts on the world around us and this is one of the reasons that she wanted to work with old vintage books and help reuse them into something new. She started collecting old books that would otherwise be recycled or thrown away and to extend the lives of these beautiful vintage books to give them new purpose. This book art adds whimsical elegance to any space, in which she hopes people will see the beauty in recycling an old unwanted object.
